Recognizing that I needed to change, I began moving forward. After realizing my potential and embracing a new perspective, I pursued my passion and built a life for my family.

Growing up in East Texas, I had everything I needed, even two separate homes. One was a single-wide trailer house with my dad. The other was a 5,000 square-foot home with a volleyball court and pool—a kid’s dream—with my mom and stepfather. Living two sets of lives with two vastly different experiences helped me dream of the life I wanted because I knew neither was quite what I envisioned for myself. I knew I wanted to be successful and happy once I realized money doesn’t create happiness. I began searching for a career that created both happiness and success as my long-term vision.

I looked up to my friend’s dad, Tom, a Navy Veteran and Real Estate Broker. He was always there for his family, but he maintained professional success. After serving in Army Special Operations for five years, I knew I wanted to build a real estate career.

I earned my license in 2012, but it was hard to break into the industry. I took on three other jobs to help me get by in the meantime. The problem was that those jobs provided a sense of security while I became distracted from my real goal. The distractions created a troubled lifestyle that would only end with dire consequences. I knew this wasn’t me and my full potential.

I need to get back on track. The thought broke through the noise as I had a sudden moment of clarity. However, to do that, I knew I was going to need some help.

I’ve always been good at going with the flow and moving on when life throws a punch my way. However, I realized that while adaptability is great, we must first address the impact of those punches before we can truly move onward.

After recognizing that I was off track, I returned to the church. It was a big part of my life, but it drifted away over the years. I knew I needed to find my way back. In the first sermon that I attended, the pastor blew me away. He was different from anything I had experienced before. Big on mindset and achieving your potential, he encouraged men to grow into leaders for their families. I kept going back and rededicated my life back to Christ in 2017.

While my perspective was shifting and I was rewiring my whole way of thinking, I met my wife, Kim. Without her, I would not be where I am today. She ignited a fire in me to be more. She also encouraged me to quit my safe jobs and go after my real passion—real estate.

Kim has been there to back me up whenever I struggled with doubt. As we built our life together, she inspired me to reach higher. We are all our own greatest obstacles, and Kim made me want to overcome my self-limiting beliefs to be better than I ever imagined I could be.

I am most proud of my son, Decker, and how he has brought our family together. When he was born in 2020, he showed me what was important and gave me a bigger purpose to serve. I strive to always be the best version of myself, which is always evolving.

Less is more for me now because I see the value in just being together while sharing time and experiences with loved ones. The only things that fulfill me are serving my clients and being with my family. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is working through problems that others might not be able to solve.

No one will outwork me. If you choose me as your REALTOR®, I will be here to take care of you every step of the way. I eat, sleep and breathe real estate. Beyond that, my core values of respect, loyalty, trust, faith, and honesty are a huge part of who I am. As someone from the area constantly studying the market, I know what I am doing and continuously work to sharpen my expertise.

The people in my life matter most, which is one of the main reasons I became a REALTOR®. Offering support and guidance to others while still being a support to my family has been a cornerstone of the life I have built. As a veteran and REALTOR®, I do well with adversity. No matter what my clients encounter, I will find a solution. In fact, it is what I enjoy most about my work. I have extensive experience in land, residential and investment real estate. Once the transaction is closed, I will continue to serve your success as your lifelong REALTOR®.

Sincerely,

Travis Hitt
